This project involved the transformation of a traditionally compartmentalized residence into a modern, open-concept living space in the heart of Redwood City.

The primary objective was to enhance spatial flow, natural light, and the indoor-outdoor connection while maintaining functionality and comfort for everyday living.

The redesign focused on removing non-load-bearing walls to unify the kitchen, dining, and living areas into one cohesive space. A neutral material palette with warm wood tones and matte finishes was chosen to reflect the relaxed, contemporary lifestyle of the client. Custom cabinetry and strategically placed lighting were integrated to ensure the open layout retained defined zones without visual clutter.
